AVCOSA - Antiques, Vintage & Collectibles Online Sellers Assoc

AVCOSA is a trade association representing interests of antique, vintage sellers

.
Here's the link to the Google Base Blog, where they announced today that they launched Google Product Search for mobile.

"... When mobile users search for products on the go they can get quick access to product information -- like online product ratings, reviews, prices, and more -- formatted neatly for their phones. ..."

We all know how "hot" mobile devices are for surfin' the net these days.

More good news -- If you've already submitted items to Google Product Search, you don't have to do anything extra to get your product information to show up on Google Product Search for mobile.

I've written before about how dealers should make sure that their items get uploaded to Google Base, and that we should promote to buyers that they use Google Shopping to expand their search for vintage treasures.

You can check out my blog/website to see how I added a permanent section about "Use Google Shopping" (scroll down the right hand column). I added a Google Base Search Box, too, which is available through Google Gadgets if you have a Blogger blog.

I can't say about sales - it's been months since I have listed anything new anywhere (no wonder I'm not making any money!) -- but I did set up my google base feed for my Bonanzle booth, and I get an email report every day that says whether or not the feed was "successfully uploaded". 99% of the time it is. Once in a while it says "un-successful", but then the next day it's "success" again - so I never do anything about it. Maybe you are right about the BETA factor - but hopefully not about the not-American factor!

I am so glad that the google base thing is working for you. I was concerned with your 1st comment. I was really thinking that promoting the use of google base/products was something that AVCOSA could use as a platform, and plan to add something about it to the home page. Did you see what I put on my website about it? I think I will add something along those lines.
