We are having an unusually warm spell even for North Texas. It was in the 90's this week..........too hot for April, and we're hoping that it's not of sign of things to come. Between the hot weather and finding these 2 fabulous swimsuits one with the coverup.........I've been reminiscing about the summers of my childhood and teen years.
I grew up in the water. Literally. From Memorial Day to Labor Day my family spent every weekend at
Lake Texoma camping,…

Protect your costume jewelry, by storing it in a clean, dust-free, dry place. A jewelry case with lots of compartments is fine, but a large box is just as effective. Make sure the individual items do not roll around or touch each other in such a way that they will scratch or become entangled with each other. I am a member of the VTLC (Vintage Tablecloth Lovers Club) and I've become a 'Linen Addict' as I call myself! LOL And as some of you know...I'm becoming a 'Vintage Quilt Vixen'! I feel like a fox in a hen house attacking, when I've had occasion to run into an estate sale to grab quilts on the second day when they are reduced in price! LOL

Advertising Thermometers
Do these big store thermometers bring back memories? All of them were given away by advertisers to soda fountains, grocery stores, bars, shoe stores, drugstores or hardware stores. More than 200 advertising thermometers made between 1920 and 1970 sold at a fa…
